RaCBA - Centre Retail and Commercial Business Action Group
The Leeds City Centre Retail and Commercial Business Action Group is an independent group representing retail and commercial businesses in the city centre working closely with Leeds Chamber and the Leeds City Centre Management Initiative.
The objectives of RACBA are:
1. to encourage and co-ordinate improvements to the city centre's retail offer with the aim of encouraging better facilities for shoppers and visitors
2. to work with the Leeds City Centre Management Initiative to develop joint programmes of action for the city centre and to develop a sense of joint ownership for driving forward such initiatives
3. to serve as a forum for city centre retailers to communicate with each other and co-ordinate their activities
4. to promote the concept of the city centre customer to develop awareness of their needs and expectations and improve service delivery
5. to maximise the publicity opportunities of events and other promotional activities in the city centre and to fully exploit opportunities within the city centre
6. to seek (new) funding to support city centre promotional activities
7. to work with West Yorkshire Police to tackle crime and the fear of crime
8. to work closely with Leeds Chamber of Commerce on a range of general and specific business issues that affect city centre commercial businesses.
