Arena Group Ltd

Formed in Leeds in 1991, the Arena Group has its head office on the Leeds/Wakefield border and further offices in Huddersfield, Chesterfield and the North West. Originally a traditional photocopier dealership (Toshiba’s largest independent supplier in Europe) the company has evolved to supply products and services around the full document lifecycle. Increasingly this incorporates electronic document management solutions as companies strive for the ‘paperless’ or ‘less-paper’ office.

In 2006 the Arena Group was included in the Sunday Times Top 100 Small Companies To Work For and was voted Best Company To Work For in the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.

ASDA, Britain’s best value retailer, became part of the Wal-Mart family in June 1999. ASDA was formed by a group of farmers from Yorkshire and now has 265 stores and 19 depots across the UK. Leeds Rugby Ltd

Leeds Rhinos are one of the most famous names in world Rugby League having been one of the founder clubs of the game in 1895. Leeds have won the Championship five times, the Challenge Cup on eleven occasions and in 2005 became World Champions for the first time in the club’s history. The Co-Operative Group

On Sunday 29 July 2007, The Co-operative Group and United Co-operatives amalgamated. The new Society is the world’s largest consumer co-operative with a turnover of more than £9 billion, 4.5 million members and 87,500 employees. The new organisation operates over 4,500 trading outlets throughout the UK, including food stores, pharmacies, travel branches and funeral homes, which will adopt the uniformed brand - The Co-operative - to be rolled out across the estate.

The Unit

The Unit, part of Park Lane College is a business incubator unit based in Leeds City Centre offering premises and support for start up and fledgling businesses. Although the Unit only opened its doors in November 2006, it has already been recognised in Park Lane’s Customer First Assessment Report 2007 as a real step forward in support for entrepreneurs. Patronage of Leeds Chamber provides a fantastic opportunity for our start up businesses in The Unit to have their voice heard by the policy making bodies in the City, whilst giving access to the wide range of membership benefits, products and services available to them. The unit is passionate about supporting small businesses, and being a Patron of Leeds Chamber takes the support that we can offer to an exponential level.
