How can you ensure that you are going to get paid?
Checking a potential client's credit rating is recommended to judge the financial status and trustworthiness of a company before signing a contract and entering a working relationship with them. You can also credit check existing clients, say for example you are not receiving payments on time. Leeds Chamber provides a credit checking service to members at significantly discounted rates through Graydon.

This invaluable service is available at a range of prices depending on how in depth you require your credit check to be. A Graydon rating of credit worthiness is available for members from as little as £10 +VAT.
What kind of level do you need?
Short form risk analysis report (level 1)
Highlighting whether the subject is high or low risk, plus details of registered office, registered number, date of incorporation, date of accounts. See sample report
Short form credit rating report (level 2)
Provides the predictive Graydon credit rating, monthly credit guide, turnover and other key data. This service also provides a YES or NO answer if a credit opinion is sought. See sample report
Comprehensive credit rating report (level 3)
This includes: Full legal information, Shareholders, Directors and their addresses and multiple directorships, County Court Judgments, 4 years of profit & loss and balance sheet data, key ratios, industry comparisons, and the predictive Graydon credit rating. It also provides an XSeption summary, which is an online information tool designed to flag any UK business where unusual patterns of corporate activity or business behaviour have been identified by Graydon. Fresh investigation credit rating report (level 4)
A freshly investigated credit rating report, similar to the comprehensive credit rating report (level 3), but also incorporating an interview with the subject company. Including a Graydon rating.
We recommend that you carry out a level 3 credit check as a minimum, which includes up to date information about the company.
International Reports
You can also access credit reports on millions of companies world-wide. Reports on more than 60 million companies spanning more than 130 countries are available. If required, you can request a fresh investigation report to be prepared based on your specifications and the desired speed of service. See sample report
